UTG TV: YG & DJ Mustard To Take Over White House In 2016

“Vote for me for President 2016-2020. The Red House. Weed is legal in every state. Motherfucker, Imma turn The White House into a flip session.”

If you haven’t heard of YG & DJ Mustard, you must be living under a rock. Or a boulder. Something along those lines.

On March 18, YG teamed up with DJ Mustard to take the hip-hop world by storm, dropping his highly anticipated debut album, My Krazy Life. The record has exploded since, but that’s not to say that YG’s presence wasn’t already known. His hit single “My Nigga” has over 100 million views on YouTube combining the original, remixed and censored version. To top it off, his newest video “Who Do You Love” with Drake has been getting serious attention at the 10 million mark. It’s only going up.

The Compton native had a busy press day in New York City, shooting promos for Respect Magazine and bouncing around from outlet to outlet before performing to a sold out Irving Plaza. During the performance, he brought out The Lox & Chinx. Additional celebrities in the house consisted of but were not limited to Busta Rhymes, Jay Pharaoh and DJ Whoo Kid.

UTG TV was able to sit down with YG & DJ Mustard to discuss the new record, their first national headlining tour and how the duo claim to have been producing and rapping since infancy.
