By now it’s known that British indie rockers Klaxons are returning to the music front but with a very different sound. Instead of their usual dance-able indie rock, they’ve picked up some new smooth R&B cues and disco thumping. Their new single, “Show Me a Miracle,” follows in that direction.
The band will be putting out their third album, Love Frequency, on June 16 via Akashic Rekords/Sony. We’ve already heard the retro “There Is No Other Time,” the poppy anthem “Children of the Sun,” and the somewhat industrial “Atom To Atom.” This new single merges some of these sounds together without ever getting the same snap as their older stuff. Still, we’re waiting to see how all the songs sound together when lined up in a row on the album.
