Watch Eminem’s Heartfelt Spike Lee-Directed “Headlights” Video

A single day out of the year to celebrate our moms doesn’t seem like enough time to do justice for all that they do. Even Eminem knows that. The Detroit rapper decided to celebrate Mother’s Day on May 11 by releasing his new, heartfelt, Spike Lee-directed music video for “Headlights.”

The song, which features Nate Ruess of fun. and The Format, is an apology to his mom about negatively referencing her in all of his past music. Lee’s video is shot from a first-person perspective of Eminem’s mother, Debbie Matters, to make a four-minute video that reveals the troubled relationship between the two of them, eventually leading towards them making up after years of fighting.
