It’s not like Riot Fest needed to get any better. The incredible lineups for the Chicago and Denver weekends of the annual festival were revealed earlier this week, and the initial tiers of tickets are long sold out, but the festival made yet another spectacular announcement today. In honor of Riot Fest’s tenth anniversary, ten bands will be performing their seminal albums in Humboldt Park this fall, with a few repeating at the Denver festival.
The full album performances will include Weezer’s Blue Album and The Offspring’s Smash, both of which are celebrating their twentieth anniversaries this year, Slayer’s Reign In Blood, The Get Up Kids’ Something To Write Home About (my personal favorite), and more. Get all the details and the (almost) complete list of album performances after the break. In typical Riot Fest fashion, there is a mystery band that will be revealed later. Who do you think it could be?
Tickets for all three Riot Fest weekends (Chicago, Denver, Toronto) are on sale now.
