The Amity Affliction Frontman Writes An Open Letter About Newest Single

The Amity Affliction recently released a new single off their upcoming album, Let The Ocean Take Me. Apparently after the release of the song, the band was flooded with messages from fans about the lyrics in it. This has prompted their frontman, Joel Birch, to write an open letter addressing his lyrics in general, and specifically the lyrical content of “Don’t Lean On Me.”

In a nutshell, Birch states that while he loves that fans feel they can relate to his lyrics and he enjoys them reaching out, he also struggles with handling the intensity of those messages due to his own depression & anxiety. That’s the bare minimum translation, so it would be best to read the entire message for yourself. You can check it out by heading here. If you haven’t heard the song yet, you can listen to it below.
