Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have set a July 29 release for their first studio album in four years. Titled Hypnotic Eye, the latest offering from the long-running rock act will be released through Reprise Records just in time for the start of a late summer tour that promises to hit most major cities across the US.

Hypnotic Eye will be available in CD, digital, high-resolution Blu-ray audio and vinyl formats. The vinyl will be available as 1-LP or as 2-LPs inclusive of an additional track not available in any other format. Pre-orders are set to begin June 3, and anyone who orders the album early via iTunes will be granted immediate access to new material ahead of the full album release. The album’s first single is expected soon.

As for the aforementioned tour, the latest outing from Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers is set to kick off August 3 in San Diego with Steve Winwood serving as direct support. Tickets to many of the 2014 concerts will go on sale May 31. The full list of tour cities, venues and dates are listed below.
