Run For Cover Records Sign Crying

crying

Adding to their cohesive and unified roster of artists, Run For Cover Records have announced their latest signing; New York-based Crying are the newest addition to the RFC family.

Crying are quite unlike any other emo band around. The group utilizes chiptune instrumentals, reminiscent of Anamanaguchi or your favorite Super Nintendo game, with shoegazey vocals and confessional lyrics. I saw the band perform with The World Is A Beautiful Place…, The Hotelier, and Told Slant a few months ago, and I was surprised at how well the crowd received their music that swayed so far from the rest of the bill.

You can check out Crying on tour this summer–dates can be found after the jump.
