Say Anything Release “Hebrews” Featuring The Front Bottoms Singer

To Max Bemis’s credit, he’s never released the same album twice. We’ve had a taste of Say Anything‘s upcoming record Hebrews in the form of the first two songs released, and if it wasn’t already apparent that the album is going to be a weird one, the title track screams it loud and clear. The song is streaming over at Red Bull, and you can hear it after the jump.

“Hebrews” shows us that Max wasn’t lying about the lack of guitars on the new album. Furthermore, I’m fairly certain that there’s a large portion of this song that’s sung in Hebrew (hence the title). The song features guest vocals by Front Bottoms frontman Brian Sella, bringing the tally up to two new Brian Sella-related songs today.

While I think this song is weaker than both “Six Six Six” and “Judas Decapitation,” I’m excited to dive into Hebrews and discover the madness for myself. You can listen to the new song after the jump.

I agree this is the weakest of the three we have heard, but it’s still better than most the albums that have come out this month.

I don’t understand why it’s a weak song. What makes it weak?
