MUSIC VIDEO: Conor Oberst – “Zigzagging Toward The Light”

Lately, Conor Oberst has been making the rounds in support of his newest record, Upside Down Mountain, which hit shelves just a few weeks ago via Nonesuch Records. Yesterday, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter stopped by CBS This Morning to perform a few ditties, and earlier today, continued to promote his latest offering by providing his track, “Zigzagging Toward the Light,” with a music video. Check it out at the bottom of this post, after the jump.

Directed by David Altobelli, the futuristic clip opens with Oberst answering the questions of an automated female voice, before he gets himself together and begins to wander (or “zigzag,” if you will) around the streets of New York. Be sure to stay tuned until the very end of the video, which takes an unexpectedly climactic turn, and apparently will be continued at a later date.

If you like what you hear, Oberst will pretty much be living on the road for the next five months. To see if he’ll be visiting a city near you, head here.
