Within The Ruins Announce Fourth LP, ‘Phenomena’

Following a successful release last year and several cross-country jaunts since, most bands would be ready for some well-earned time off. However, as they’ve proven time and time again, Within the Ruins aren’t like most bands.

Earlier this morning, the Massachusetts four-piece announced that their fourth full-length, Phenomena, will hit shelves nationwide on July 22.

“We took six months off over the winter to eat, sleep and breath this album. It was by far the most in depth we’ve ever gone in the writing process,” said guitarist Joe Cocchi. “Since the inception of this band our attitude has always been to completely trump our previous efforts in every aspect, and I think we did just that. We’re beyond stoked for people to hear this one.”

While most bands strive to improve with each release, Within the Ruins have some particularly high expectations to live up to. Last year’s Elite was a delightfully technical thrill ride that was well received by both critics and fans, and eventually peaked at number 2 on the US Heatseekers chart.
