Celebrate On The Beach With The Bouncing Souls

Who is getting tired of hearing about these album anniversaries? Here’s a real anniversary: The Bouncing Souls are turning 25 years old. Yes, that is true. The Souls have been a band for two years longer than I’ve been alive and I say “hooray” to that!

After two and a half decades and nine full length albums, the band has taken to social media today to inform the world that they will be performing a special dual-anniversary party in Asbury Park. The show will be happening on July 19 and feature The Menzingers as well as Ted Leo. In addition to the boys toasting to 25, The Stone Pony will be approaching “over the hill” status at 40.

If you’re not from the East Coast of the continental United States, then you’re missing out on NJ’s fantastic local music scene. The Stony Pony, which often hosts the Souls’ “Home For The Holidays” shows, has been home to countless national and local acts which includes Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Bon Jovi and more.

Check below to see where to buy tickets and watch the classic video for “Lean On Sheena,” which opens up right across the street from The Stony Pony on the shore.

Special fan club tickets on sale tomorrow at noon via Chunksaah Records.
