Mat Kerekes of Citizen had recently taken to the twittersphere to announce his latest creative outlet: a hardcore band by the name of Power Wrench who have released a split EP with Michigan’s Spitback.
Any fans of Kerekes’ more popular band would have to keep searching if they’re looking for anything that bears resemblance to Citizen in sound, lyrics, and even mood; this new release is chock full of fast, no-nonsense hardcore that doesn’t spare any time in getting to the oh-so-clearly-stated point.
Follow the jump to listen to the EP, which is currently available on a ‘Pay What You Want’ basis through Bandcamp.
