Foo Fighters’ New Album Will Arrive In November

Hot on the heels of this morning’s documentary teaser, the members of Foo Fighters have confirmed that their highly-anticipated new studio album will hit stores in November.

As previously reported, Foo Fighters have spent the majority of the past several months quietly working on their eighth studio album. The band used eight different cities/studios to record the album, which reportedly features on eight songs, and along the way filmed their adventures for an upcoming TV series slated to debut on HBO in the fall. Speaking about the record’s creation, Grohl said the unique recording process led to the band’s longest record to date, as he “had to take a cinematic approach.” Grohl continued, “Like I couldn’t just write a three-and-a-half-minute long KROQ jingle and film it for the finale of an episode about the history of music in New Orleans, ya know? We really had to step up what we do. The music is a progression or an evolution for sure, but it’s a Foo Fighters record.”

No word yet on when fans can expect a single to surface, but rest assured we will post a stream here as soon as that material becomes available.
