Rise Against Announce New Album ‘The Black Market’

After posting a series of teasers over the past few weeks, Rise Against have officially announced the title and release date of their upcoming seventh studio album. The follow-up to 2011’s Endgame is called The Black Market and will hit stores on July 15. The album’s first single, “I Don’t Want to Be Here Anymore,” will be unleashed on June 10, but a preview of the track can be heard in the album announcement video included below.

“Rise Against has always been a political band, but also a personal band,” says frontman Tim McIlrath. “We’ve always had songs that have a foot in both worlds. This album is a lot more introspective to me.” Rise Against have already been announced as one of the headliners for all three editions (Toronto, Chicago and Denver) of this year’s Riot Fest, and it’s probably safe to assume a full tour supporting The Black Market will be announced shortly.
