‘Are You Here’ Trailer: Owen Wilson And Zach Galifianakis Learn The True Meaning Of Friendship

Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner has released the first trailer for his theatrical debut, Are You Here.

Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis spent their childhood being inseparable best friends. As things tend do go, however, adulthood came with a new set of priorities and the two lifelong pals slowly began to drift apart. Wilson became a successful weatherman, though his recent work might not show it, and Galifianakis…Well, that part you kind of have to see to understand. You can view the film’s first trailer below:

It’s not hard to imagine that Weiner could have recruited essentially anyone to lead his first film, but aside from Wilson, Galifianakis, and the lovely Amy Poehler it looks as if he has made a conscious effort to cast people you more than likely are not used to seeing on the big screen. This gives an already strong original story another fresh element to bolster its appeal, and to be honest I could not be more excited to see the final product. Do you agree? Are You Here originally premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Millennium Entertainment will release Are You Here stateside in theaters and on demand August 22.
