After teasing the idea he may hit the road this summer to promote Tha Carter V back in May, Lil Wayne shocked fans everywhere this afternoon by revealing plans for a massive summer tour alongside music’s biggest name.

Drake Vs. Lil Wayne will be a summer tour event featuring headlining performances from both Weezy and Drake. The tour kicks off August 8 in Darien, New York, and wraps September 27 in Woodlands, Texas. You can view the full list of tour dates at the end of this post.

News of the Drake Vs Lil Wayne tour arrives just as the pair’s collaborative single, “Believe Me,” breaks into Billboard’s Hot 100 and hits No. 9 on its Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Click here to stream the track.

Tha Carter V still has no release date, but it seems likely that the long-awaited release will arrive before fall. As for Drake, the man behind Nothing Was The Same recently teased the possibility of a new album from him arriving in spring 2015. Those reports cannot be confirmed at this time, but if you listen to “0 To 100” his plans seem pretty damn clear.
