After years of stealing the spotlight from the supposed stars of the Madagascar franchise, the flightless birds everyone loves to watch solve crimes and fight one another have finally been given their own feature length film.

Penguins Of Madagascar follows Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private on their biggest adventure to date. While exploring the world, the gang encounters the North Wind, a chic spy organization led by a wolf named Agent Classified (they could tell you his name, but then…you know), voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The two groups must work together to defeat a super villain known as Dr. Octavius Brine. You can view the film’s first trailer below.

There is really nothing in this trailer we haven’t seen before, aside from the new characters, but this film feels like something the animated world has been waiting for since the first Madagascar debuted several years ago. Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private have been stars in their own right for years, and it’s only fitting they be given their own big screen adventure. I only hope the final results are good enough to maintain their popularity.

Penguins Of Madagascar opens November 26.
