The Gaslight Anthem Announce ‘Get Hurt’

From the passionate punk of Sink Or Swim to the smooth and powerful songwriting of 2012’s Handwritten, The Gaslight Anthem have consistently proven to be one of the best bands in rock and roll. Later this summer, the New Jersey band will return with album number five, titled Get Hurt, and from the looks of it, they haven’t lost any steam.

With the album announcement, the band released a teaser video featuring a clip of a new song, which you can check out after the break. The track features a crunchy, bluesy guitar riff that harkens back to Handwritten highlight “Biloxi Parish.” If this is the direction the band is taking on a record that frontman Brian Fallon previously described as “the weird album,” then consider us very excited to hear what they have in store.

The album is due out August 19, and you can pre-order a copy right here. Pre-orders also include early access to tickets for select dates on the band’s upcoming tour. Those dates are listed below.
