Jessie Ware Is Back With Single “Tough Love”

British singer-songwriter and crooner Jessie Ware is back. After her debut album, Devotion, scored favorably among critics in 2012, Ware stopped by Zane Lowe’s BBC 1 Radio Show to share “Tough Love,” the first single off her upcoming sophomore album, the title of which is still unknown. We’re looking forward to hearing what else she will drop, especially considering Ed Sheeran and Miguel are both confirmed to have worked on the album.

To no surprise, Ware’s beautiful voice takes hold of the song’s steering wheel, hitting whisper-y falsettos as she sings about a dissolving relationship that’s clinging to her mind. The bubbly, light synth track was produced by BenZel, the guy who helped make Ware’s “If You Love Me.” The two pair well together, making the type of hit that quietly works its way into your mind, keeping away from obnoxious hooks or blaring cheap tricks.
