Today is the day fans of silky smooth pop music have been waiting for all year long. After months of promotion, including a sold out US tour, Lana Del Rey is finally sharing Ultraviolence with the world. Our review of the record is not quite ready to post, but while we wait for that time fans can stream the new album, in full, at the end of this post.
There was a time not too long ago when it seemed almost trendy to make fun of Lana Del Rey, but I honestly believe that time has passed. There will continue to be haters, sure, but the initial wave of ‘this sucks’ has certainly passed at this point. LDR explores some of this hate on the album, with tracks like “Fucked My Way To The Top” coming across directly on the nose.
We expect Lana will tour again in 2014, but at this point her plans for the future are under wraps. We’ll bring you more information as soon as additional details begin to surface.
