Plies Makes “Loyal” His Own

Plies has been on a remix spree as of late, and it’s admittedly our fault for not bringing this fact to your attention sooner. If you want to lose an afternoon to hip hop, feel free to spend the rest of the day following his efforts on YouTube.

Anyway, Plies delivered a remix of “Loyal” yesterday that simply demands to be heard. It’s one of the most entertaining set of verses he has delivered all year, and his gruff approach plays surprisingly well with the radio-friendly production of the song. You can stream the track below:

As someone who listen to radio regularly, I will be the first to admit that “Loyal” has more or less worn out its welcome at this point. That said, Plies just gave me a damn good reason to listen to the catchy beat at least a half dozen more times before I consider truly moving on.

Plies has yet to reveal what all these remixes are leading towards, if anything, but I would like to believe he has another studio album planned for sometime in the coming year. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
