Coldplay Release “A Sky Full Of Stars” Video

Coldplay recently earned the biggest single week sales of 2014, and this morning they are holding on for additional headlines with the release of their official video for “A Sky Full Of Stars.”

There was a moment several years ago when Coldplay flipped the adult contemporary pop world on its head by releasing a fun and crazy creative clip for the A Rush Of Blood to the Head cut “The Scientist,” which featured frontman Chris Martin replaying the day of a car accident in reverse. The beginning of “A Sky Full Of Stars” is awfully similar to that clip at first, but the story that unfolds over the course of the song could not be more different (or upbeat). The members of Coldplay walk the streets dressed as various ‘one-man band’ performers, then meet to entertain the throngs of fans who have followed them through the city streets. You can view the video below:

“A Sky Full Of Stars” is the only track on Coldplay’s new album to be produced by Avicii, which should be all the reasoning you need to understand why it was chosen as a single. The band’s album, Ghost Stories, is available now wherever music is sold.
