It’s been four months since Angel Olsen‘s fantastic record Burn Your Fire For No Witness came out and not a week goes by that I don’t find myself listening to it in full. The only thing better than giving it a spin is hearing that material live. Thankfully the whole TV-watching world got a chance to experience that sound this week when Olsen stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman to perform “Hi-Five.”

The video is a good opportunity to see her singing style. It never ceases to amaze me how little she opens her mouth for some pretty big notes. Talk about control. Because of the sound quality, however, her TV debut comes in a close second to her “High & Wild” music video (which includes some live performance clips as well).
