Run The Jewels To Hit The Road, El-P Promises More Dates To Be Announced

Run the Jewels, the much-loved power pairing of Killer Mike and El-P, have announced a number of tour dates. The duo saw a lot of success with last year’s lauded self-titled album and have recorded a follow-up, which is expected to drop this year.

The tour dates are largely western United States and Canada thus far, with the exception of two Chicago gigs (an opening spot for Wu-Tang and a set at Lollapalooza) and a stop in Texas for Fun Fun Fun Fest. Don’t get too down yet, east coasters: El-P has promised over on Facebook that this is only the beginning.

“we will also be extensively touring later this year, so if you don’t see your town understand this isn’t the MAIN tour we are doing for RTJ2. this is mostly a west coast run. trust me we are planning much much more.”

Those will undoubtedly pop up at or around the same time we get more information about RTJ2. Until then, just kick back with the first Run the Jewels or the animated video they dropped a few months ago. Your time will come.
