British experimental R&B artist FKA Twigs made a name for herself with last year’s EP, and she’s running fast this year as well with LP1, her debut full length that she’s been dropping tracks from at live shows like “Hide.” Today, she shares the first official track and its accompanying video, “Two Weeks.”
With unusual ease, FKA Twigs finds a balance between something sensuous and lurking, adding her lush croon and skittering drums that keep you waiting to see what happens next. It’s peaceful with a little bit of anxiety. The music video, directed by Nabil, is a slow-motion, regal dance that complements the song perfectly. If you wanted more beauty in the track, this is it.
