THE END IS NEAR: The Swellers Begin Booking Farewell Shows

It’s a sad, sad day for fans of punk.

After twelve years of hard work and great music, Michigan based punk outfit The Swellers have revealed that they are currently planning what will eventually become their farewell tour. Yes, the end is near and the brightest light in the midwest punk scene will soon be put out for good, but before you get down on everything try to remember the good: There will be one more tour.

Taking to Facebook earlier today, The Swellers posted an update that read:

We had our first band practice twelve years ago today. It’s been an amazing run. Booking some farewell shows soon. Thank you.

Fans immediately began flooding the band’s networks with well wishes and attempts to change their minds, but it seems the decision has already been made. The band has not revealed when this tour will take place, but we believe a late 2014/early 2015 outing is likely. We will bring you everything you need to know, including supporting acts and ticket information, as soon as more details become available.
