Darkest Hour Announce New Album Slated For August Release

Metalheads across the nation can sleep easy tonight, for after what seems like forever, Darkest Hour have finally pinned a release date to their highly anticipated eighth full-length.

According to the outfit’s various social media outlets, the presently unnamed follow-up to 2011’s The Human Romance will make landfall on August 5 via Sumerian Records.

In anticipation of this newest effort, the D.C. five-piece has unveiled a brief teaser, which can be viewed by clicking through the jump below. If vocalist John Henry’s hair-raising declaration doesn’t get your blood pumping, you may want to check your pulse to make sure you’re still alive.

This will be Darkest Hour’s first record since signing with Sumerian roughly a year ago, and additionally, their first release to feature Aaron Deal on bass and Travis Orbin on drums, so there’s a lot to be excited about.
