REQUIRED LISTENING: MAIDS – “Do This Better”

Earlier this week our friends at The 405 premiered the brand new video for “Do This Better” from Des Moines’ finest act, MAIDS. The incredibly infectious song has a sequential groove to it that could make even the most lackluster dancer want to move his or her hips. The band’s self-prescribed title of “Midwest disco” is in full force with “Do This Better.”

The video, shot at The Des Moines Building, shows us a clever and humorous montage of a guy (sometimes in his underwear) and gal really hitting their groove. If what we see in the video is the dancing to pair with Midwest disco then move over John Travolta — there’s a new fever in town. We said it when we premiered the band’s video for “Bandits” and we’ll say it again: MAIDS is one of the coolest acts making their way out of the middle of the country.
