METALHEADS REJOICE: Darkest Hour Share New Track “Wasteland”

For the last 15 years, D.C. modern thrash masters Darkest Hour have been perhaps the most consistent thing in metal. Trends, whether it be metalcore, deathcore or djent continue coming along, band members come and go, but Darkest Hour just keep sounding like Darkest Hour.

And finally, after releasing a teaser last week, Darkest Hour have premiered the first song from their Sumerian Records debut and first album since 2011’s The Human Romance. The song is titled “Wasteland,” and its lyric video can be viewed below. The band has also confirmed the new album, slated for August 5, will be a self-titled release. Sumerian has launched some pre-order packages for the release, and with a bevy of badass t-shirt options, the question is not so much “should I pre-order this?” as much as it is “which one do I want most?”
