There are ten new summer playlists uploaded each day telling you which hits you’ll be blasting from your car stereo and which ones are perfect for holding that special person’s hand by the boardwalk. But there comes a time in the summer where even the happiest people need to put on a hat, walk under the trees’ shadows, and watch summer from a darker side of it all. That’s where Blonde Redhead come in.

The Brooklyn alt rock group are known for merging trippy rhythms, dream pop tones, and sharp guitar lines together for truly unique music. So it comes as no surprise that we’re overly excited for Barragan, their first album in four years, to come out on September 9 via Kobalt. They’ve just put “Dripping” from that album online for the world’s streaming purposes and all we can think of is what it will feel like to walk home with this buzzing in our earbuds. Oh, summer. You look so pretty when Kazu Makino’s vocals are this sweet.
