Suffokate Premiere Music Video For “The Imposter”

It’s been quite some time since we last wrote about Suffokate. Though the band hasn’t released a new album since 2011, they have stayed relatively active. Yesterday they premiered the music video for the first single with their new vocalist. The new song is titled “The Imposter,” and you can watch it below.

The band’s vocalist on their two albums, Ricky Hoover, had a pretty solid vocal range. He was capable of brutal growls as well as high screams. In this new song, at the very least, the vocalist focuses on the lower screams/growls. There is a mixed bag of reactions from fans so far – as there usually is when a lineup change occurs. What are your thoughts on the new sound?
