Trioscapes Announce Sophomore Album, Stream “Stab Wounds”

A progressive fusion trio, aptly named Trioscapes, was first formed in 2011 by bassist Dan Briggs of Between the Buried and Me, and initially intended to be a one-time musical venture. After teaming up with Walter Fancourt (Casual Curious, Brand New Life) and Matt Lynch (Eyris), the guys found the project was too enjoyable to put down, and we’re certainly glad they came to that decision. The group went on to release a full-length debut entitled Separate Realities in May of 2012, and when we asked them if they had plans to continue the project beyond that release, Briggs was happy to explain, “Yep! Every time we get together we inevitably start jamming on something new…there’s a few things brewing already.”

Recently, the band recorded a 5-track album of groovy jams that display some truly impressive instrumentation. The record, called Digital Dream Sequence, is now available for pre-order for its August 19 release via Metal Blade Records. Along with the pre-order announcement, the band released the album’s lead single. You can stream “Stab Wounds” below:
