Vance Joy Shares “Mess Is Mine” Video Starring a Polar Bear

Okay, it isn’t a real polar bear but that’s not the point.

Following Vance Joy‘s breakout EP from last year, God Loves You When You’re Dancing, the Australian singer-songwriter is poised to release his debut full-length album later this year, entitled Dream Your Life Away. The album will be released in September with pre-orders available through iTunes July 11 for Australia/UK and July 15 in the US and Canada.

As Joy recently posted a few video teasers through his social media accounts, we knew something new was on its way, and sure enough, a brand new video, written and directed by Luci Schroder, is available now to view at the end of this post. “Mess Is Mine” is a perfect lead single to raise anticipation for Joy’s debut LP as it displays his progression from God Loves You When You’re Dancing to an even larger folky sound with a swelling, anthemic chorus a la Of Monsters and Men, Edward Sharpe, or even Radical Face. Vance’s vocals sound better than ever and the video accompanying the track tells an interesting story that we’ll refrain from spoiling for you.

Check it out below with Dream Your Life Away‘s cover art.
