Drake Announces Fourth Album, ‘Views From The 6’

Drake teased a new album about a month ago, and earlier today Billboard confirmed Aubrey’s plans to release his fourth studio album early next year.

Views From The 6 will be the title of Drake’s new album, but truth be told the Canada born rapper has admittedly not begun working on the record in earnest. The reveal of the album’s title and the confirmation of its impending release was announced on Tuesday morning as part of a slew of projects the twenty-something music mogul has on his plate, including his upcoming role as host of the ESPY’s, the two releases OVO Sound has planned – Majid Jordan’s EP Place Like This and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s second full-length release, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO on July 29. There’s also the fifth annual Toronto OVO Fest in August, as well as his co-headlining tour with Lil Wayne at the tail end of summer.

Knowing Drake, these projects are only the tip of what is likely a much larger media-fueled iceberg. He teased a new album on “0 to 100,” yes, but that was not all he teased. If you’ll recall:

“We already got spring 2015 poppin’ / PND droppin’ / Reps-Up P droppin’ / Majid Jordin droppin’, OB droppin’ not to mention me droppin’.”

In addition to the ever-present likelihood of Drake dropping a free single out of the blue, it would appear OVO Sound has a few more release left to announce. We’ll keep an eye out for updates and bring you more information on Drake’s plans for the future as the begin to be revealed.
