The house album you never knew you were living life without will soon be a reality.

R. Kelly was one of the headline attractions at Chicago’s Chosen Few DJs Picnic this past weekend, and during his performance the aging R&B sensation told the crowd a secret about his next project. “I want ya’ll to know a secret,” he told the crowd.” I’m working on a house album right now, and I want ya’ll to know, it’s coming… And ya’ll know, I love music and I feel like I can do anything when it comes to music because I am music just like ya’ll.”

This is obviously the first time the public has been made aware of this project, so there is virtually no information available at this time. I would not be surprised if we see headlines about Robert working with the likes of Diplo or Tiesto in the coming months, but he could go another route entirely and deliver something wholly unique. We are talking about the man who delivered Black Panties, after all.

Speaking of Panties, R. Kelly is still set to deliver an album titled White Panties by the end of 2014. This will be separate from the house album, or at least it would seem that way. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
