TWO-MINUTE NECK WORKOUT: Darkest Hour Release “Rapture in Exile”

Two weeks ago, D.C. modern thrash veterans Darkest Hour offered “Wasteland,” the first official taste of new music from their upcoming self-titled album. Today, we get our second helping of new Darkest Hour in the form of “Rapture in Exile.”

The band has premiered the track in the form of a music video that captures the band tearing up the stage during their current run on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Fast, melodic and heavy, the two-minute shredder is classic Darkest Hour and features John Henry’s massive “Fuck Waiting Around to Die” vocal that has been at the forefront of the album’s marketing campaign.

Darkest Hour’s Sumerian Records debut is set to hit stores on August 5, with pre-orders already underway. The album is also Darkest Hour’s first release to feature bassist Aaron Deal and former Periphery drummer Travis Orbin. Are you really still reading this? Click through for the video already.
