Sharon Van Etten has been on the road in support of her excellent new album, Are We There, and she’s winding things down before jetting over to Europe by releasing a beautiful new video for “Our Love.” The video, which sees Etten drifting in and out of a love-torn daze, reveals a whole lot of vulnerability, pain, and skin. Since the song is about acknowledging the beauty of letting love wane, it pairs well.

“On set I felt like a privileged witness to something very personal,” said the video’s director Karen Collins. “For greater intimacy, she closes her eyes for the most part of the video, but Sharon has the most beautiful eyes in the world, so there was some sadness in doing this. Luckily, she opens them in the end.” And oh, how we can’t stop looking into them.
