Here Is Your First Look At Ultron In ‘Avengers 2’

James Spader is set to portray Ultron through motion capture in the upcoming Avengers film, and earlier today we got our first look at the villain’s on-screen appearance.

Entertainment Weekly is the publication lucky enough to land the unveiling of Ultron, and they have chosen to do so by placing him on the cover of their latest issue. The image, which you can view below, began making its way online this afternoon. In it, readers can see Ultron wedged between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans), with what looks to be another yet updated logo adorning Cap’s suit. check it out:

For those unfamiliar with the history of Ultron, he is a robot originally created by Tony Stark to aide the Avengers. As you can probably guess, however, things go awry and he quickly becomes one of biggest threats the team of heroes has ever faced.

Marvel recently shared footage from Age Of Ultron with Comic Con attendees in London. The studio has yet to reveal when general audiences can expect to begin seeing footage, but I’d wager we’ll get a glimpse at the 2015 epic when Guardians Of The Galaxy opens next month.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1, 2015.
