UTG Premiere: Avalanche – “Two Years”

It’s hump day, and like many of you we have spent the majority of the work day wondering why it takes so damn long for the weekend to arrive. We cannot give you the tools to build a time machine, nor can we provide you with the financial support needed to quit your dead end job, but we do have a new song from Singapore based metalcore outfit Avalanche that I believe will give you the strength needed to kick this week’s ass.

You may or may not have heard of Avalanche before this moment, but trust me when I say they will soon be regulars on your favorite heavy music blog. Their sound falls perfectly in line with the hottest bands in modern metalcore, blending together bits of The Word Alive with Bring Me The Horizon and just a dash of Misery Signals, but it steers clear of EDM and other tacky add-ons that tend to cheapen or otherwise weaken a group’s overall appeal. We’re excited to host the premiere of their new single “Two Years,” which you can stream below:

“Two Years” is the latest in a line of promotional singles released by Avalanche in recent weeks. You may have noticed their video for “Plaster Saint,” which left us with chills, sitting pretty on our homepage this past Monday. It’s all meant to get people excited for the group’s debut album, Glass Silver Lining, which hits stores on August 7, 2014. Pre-orders launched today and are available right here. If you like what you hear, please show your support.

We will be working with Avalanche a lot in the weeks and months to come. Stay tuned.
