Oli Sykes Opens Up About Overcoming Drug Addiction At The APMAs

The very first Alternative Press Music Awards were held earlier this week at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum. Thousands of fans were in attendance as well as numerous notable artists in the alternative music scene. Awards went out in a dozen categories, including Album Of The Year. That award ended up going to Bring Me The Horizon for their stellar album, Sempiternal. When accepting the album, frontman Oli Sykes opened up and briefly spoke about his drug addiction and going to rehab. The video was released by Alternative Press, and you can watch it beneath the break.

It’s great to hear that Sykes is now drug-free, and his accomplishment should hopefully be inspiration for any fans who are in a similar situation.
