‘Night At The Museum 3’ Trailer: New Places, Familiar Faces, And A Race Against Time

After years of leaving movie audiences wondering whether or not they would get to spend another Night At The Museum, the franchise that no one expected to spawn a single sequel is back for a third round of hilarious, celebrity fueled madness.

Night At The Museum 3 picks up some time after the events of the previous two films. Ben Stiller is still working as a security guard, and every night he hangs out with the slew of friends he’s made throughout the series. One day he realizes that the tablet responsible for bringing the museum to life is beginning to lose its power, and with the help of his companions Stiller embarks on a quest to save the magic he’s grown so fond of over the years. You can view the film’s first trailer below:

Several years have passed since I last revisited Night At The Museum, but aside from addition of Rebel Wilson this latest entry looks to be just as good, if not better than its predecessor. I’m not sure any idea could top the premise of the first film, but that’s a problem almost every great franchise faces. What do you think? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb opens in theaters on December 19.
