Internet-famous pop duo, Pomplamoose, have returned with the release of their second album, Season 2; a compilation of covers, medleys, reinterpretations of popular songs, and some original works. The album features songs based on the work of Lorde and Pharrell, and even Taco’s “Puttin’ On The Ritz,” to create quite the eclectic mix of music.
As we’ve come to expect from the inventors of the “VideoSong,” the band has released a video for their cover of the infamous “Video Killed The Radio Star,” which is available to stream below the jump. Pomplamoose’s recent videos are fascinating and intricate artistic displays, definitely very OK Go. The new video features many of their recent trademarks, including a synchronized live performance on a handmade set, using projectors to create holograms, and other trippy effects.
