Son Lux Shares Moving Video for “Lanterns Lit”

Ryan Lott, aka Son Lux, is a busy man. As of this year, he has put out an album with super group Sisyphus, joined with Sufjan Stevens and Serengetti. He also has a score for the film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, and a produced record for an ensemble by the name of yMusic.

In the mean time, a film called Children of Change was being recorded, and a video for Son Lux’s song “Lanterns Lit,” off his 2013 effort Lanterns was filmed.

A fantastic video for a fantastic song, it shows how innocent lives are affected by a war torn nation. The video was shot in South East Asia. Children in run down, poverty-stricken populations watch as rockets fly into the air. It’s probably going to bring tears to your eyes.

For more information on the film, search for #ChildrenOfChange and check out the film maker SJ Finlay’s website. He also directed and produced the video for “Lantern’s Lit.” Check out the video after the jump.

Lanterns is out now via Joyful Noise Recordings.
