The majority of the comic-loving internet universe has no doubt watched the leaked Deadpool test footage at this point, but last night the world was given its first look at the movie that could have been in GLORIOUS HD.

I’m not going to lie to you: The footage that follows is the exact same sequence you were able to watch on this very site a few days ago. The only difference is that this time around the clip is shown as it was intended, in beautiful HD, instead of being witnessed through the shaky camera work of someone with an iPhone. It’s wonderful and I need to stop writing about it before I fill this entire site with my unending love for Wade Wilson. You can view the footage below:

FOX controls the theatrical rights to Deadpool, so it falls on them to explain why this footage was viewed and passed on several years ago. They have yet to comment on this week’s leak, but given the overwhelming response the footage has received I would not be surprised in the slightest if FOX decided to revisit the property at some point in the coming months. Stay tuned.
