Devo Announce 2014 Tour Dates

It’s been a year since Devo has played live, so those in one of the 11 cities on their upcoming tour better get out there and take it in.

This mini-run is dedicated to the memory of their fallen member, guitarist Bob Casale. He passed away this past February from heart failure. The band plans to donate a portion of the tour’s proceeds to Casale’s family. If that’s not reason enough to check them out, then what is?

Each night will have a special section dedicated to Devo’s experimental years between 1974-1977. Along with that, the band has also announced they’ll be releasing a trio of treasures for Record Store Day this year: Live at Max’s Kansas City, recorded at a 1997 show, a split 7-inch featuring The Flaming Lips’ cover of “Gates of Steel” alongside the original track, and a vinyl picture disc of Devo’s “return” show, Butch Devo and the Sundance Gig from 1996.

The tour kicks off June 18 in Baltimore, MD and wraps up in Texas at the beginning of July. You can see all the dates after the jump.
