If Ben Howard has somehow slid under your radar up to this day, please make this change. I’m going to assume he hasn’t, and get to the point.

His new album is coming. No real details as of yet, so we have to impatiently wait in a state of unknown. But last night, on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, they played a new song called “End of the Affair.”

This track, coming in at just short of eight minutes, is one hell of a journey. It starts out as normal, with a mesmerizing acoustic lick joined in with his poignant vocals that could hypnotize even the most dreary soul. It progressively gets more intense, until at about the four-minute mark where it stops. And then the game is over. Prepare to be in love. The journey picks up speed and becomes an epic and desperate occasion as Ben Howard screams “this is it.”
