The king of star-studded summer anthems has returned with a late season offering that is sure to win over fans of big hooks in no time at all.

“Hold You Down” is the latest in a long line of feature heavy singles from DJ Khaled, only this time the tempo has been slowed just enough to make room for a little more romance than the “We The Best” hitmaker typically delivers. The song features Chris Brown, Future, August Alsina, and Jeremih, all of whom also make an appearance in the track’s official video. Khaled has titled his forthcoming studio album I Changed A Lot, which is something that feels abundantly clear when experiencing “Hold You Down.” It’s not about radio glory for Khaled anymore, though I’m sure that is something he will always appreciate. I think these days it’s more about capturing an emotion or moment and making it last for as long as possible, and recently that emotion has been romance far more often than anything else.
