Rae Sremmurd Release Official “No Flex Zone” Music Video

I don’t know how long it took me to realize Rae Sremmurd was “ear drummers” spelled backwards, but when I did, the name of this fast-rising rap duo made a lot more sense.

This morning, brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy, better known as Rae Sremmurd, released the official video for “No Flex Zone.” The song, which in recent weeks has become a hot commodity in the world of remixes and freestyles, has been gaining a lot of traction on terrestrial radio since its debut in May. There is no word yet on whether or not the duo have a label deal in the works, but the release of this clip tells us they have a lot more planned for the remainder of 2014. You can view the video below:

If I were a label executive, I would be all over this duo the way majors were recently fighting one another for “Hot Nigga” lyricist Bobby Shmurda. I’d also make them change their name. Not because Rae Sremmurd is not creative, but because it’s not something the average person can easily commit to memory. I’ve probably told a dozen or more people about this song in recent weeks, and every time I feel like I pronounce ‘Rae Sremmurd” a different way.

Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy are keeping their plans for the future under wraps, but we are keeping an eye on the duo and will make it a point to update you as soon as new details begin to surface. Stay tuned.
