A few weeks ago it started with a countdown that ended with a new song and a tour announcement. Today, LIGHTS has released another song called “Portal” that will come from her much anticipated followup to Siberia, entitled Little Machines.

The song is incredibly minimalistic, based around what sounds like one chord and a simple drum beat, that apparently was created from her belly drumming when she was pregnant with her daughter. It’s a very dreamy and echo-y track but still has simple touches of the EDM that the girl is no stranger to.

Along with the release of the track, she has posted the official video which features Lights herself on a journey, driving and walking through the forest, searching for something.

Lights talks about the filming process of the video and says, “This video is no ordinary video. Myself and a small, talented crew spent the day in an otherworldly glade about an hour outside of Toronto meandering through elvish woods and driving old cars. It was perfect.”
