At this point, it’s nearly impossible to nail Leeds’ Alt-J down to one specific genre, and we’ve simply given up trying. In the long wait till the September 23 release of the newest album, This Is All Yours, we’ve been graced with two singles and two accompanying videos. Today, Alt-J have released a third new track from the album, entitled “Every Other Freckle,” and it might just be the most diverse of the three we’ve heard yet.

Combining some of the elements that have made up the band’s past works with tastes of numerous genres and gritty distorted guitar work, all led by Joe Newman’s unmistakable vocals and nearly indecipherable lyrics, “Every Other Freckle” shows that the band can still reach new areas and expand their truly unique brand of indie rock.
